PRINCE HENRYS

Last year Prince Henry's choose us as their local charity of the year. In total they raised over £2500! We are very grateful for this donation and hope we can continue to work with them in the future.

About PHGS's Ecommittee

We have worked closely with PHGS for a long time especially with the schools eco group - The Ecommittee. Most recently we have helped them get a number of bird boxes with cameras which will hopefully be installed in 2026.

The schools Ecommittee managed to achieve distinction in the Eco Schools Award for 3 years running. They are hoping to go for the same again this year! If you would like to find out more click here.

The Ecommittee has achieved lots over the last few years. They managed to get a green roof on one of their new classrooms and bug hotels are attached to some of the outsides of the buildings. They have helped shape the curriculum as well, by making lesson about biodiversity which is shown to all Year 7's every year.

Pond Update:

Prince Henrys has successfully added a pond into the bottom of their school grounds. It will be used for lessons and hopefully is going to bring lots of wildlife to the school!

There are lots of local plants in the pond and there is hope to bring in some fish soon. If you want to find out more about ponds and how to create them click the link here.
